This list is for providing you with easy access to these "useful" Web pages. Please visit my NEW "Tips and Favorite Applications" Page, WEBHITZ® for access to our Web menus! Due to the volume of email I get I cannot possibly reply to every message!

  1. WindowsReinstall.com - covers how to install, upgrade , reinstall , repair , troubleshoot and fix Microsoft Windows (lots of versions covered!).
  2. Computing.Net - a good tech support resource for a variety of OS's (Operating Systems); also check out their "How To's". Also visit PChelper.com - another useful tech support resource; also visit their "Top Ten" discussions listing (it is always more then 10) and "Tek-Tips" and their "forums".
  3. VoodooFiles - game (patches, utilities, demos, etc...) site; plus software (shareware/freeware) and system tweaks, screensavers and more.
  4. Suite101.com - an online publishing community of writers, readers, and educators who have come together to share their passion. Visit their "Best-of-the-Web" listing of Web sites.
  5. Toxinz.com - an Internet database (60,000 listed chemical products, pharmaceuticals, plants and hazardous creatures) containing information regarding toxic compounds and the management of poisoned patients (based in Austrailia).
  6. RipOffReport.com - is a nationwide consumer reporting Web site to enter complaints about companies and individuals who are ripping people off . Also visit "ConsumerWebWatch" and "ComplaintCenter"
  7. Snopes.com - all about "Urban Legends"; useful Web resource(searchable) that has bits of netlore about what is (and was) currently getting dumped into people's (email) inboxes.
  8. FoodReference.com - 4,000+ pages on recipes, tips, trivia, history and more.
  9. GamesKidsPlay.net - resource that covers games kids play including rules for playground games, verses for jump-rope rhymes and more.
  10. Bugnosis.org - use this to find out who's tracking you on the Web (works with Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater for Windows). Also visit "Spychecker", "SpywareInfo" and the InfoStar "Techlinks Page" (go to link#249[approx.] - Privacy Protection - there are lots more to look at).
  11. WinSuperSite.com - by Paul Thurrott; dedicated to providing information you need to evaluate Microsoft's Windows operating system technologies. Also visit "WindowsItLibrary".
  12. PCBuyersGuide.com - access to computer hardware/software industry news and more.
  13. TheTechnoZone.com - computer industry news, "forums", buyer's guides and more. Also visit TechSupportForums - resource that has forums on a wide variety of Operating Systems.
  14. TweakXP.com - a resource that is dedicated to improving and customizing Microsoft® Windows® XP.
  15. (Microsoft) WindowsXPUser - another independent guide to using and supporting WIndows XP.
  16. CyberTechHelp - tech support resource; check-out their "tutorials" for using/enhancing your system.
  17. PCHelpLive - resource created site certified technicians who have worked for or are currently employed by Fortune 100 computer companies in the field of technical support; check-out their "forums".
  18. ArrearsCalculator.com - calculates how much child support either parent owes based on orders, payments, adjustments, and interest charges.
  19. SalaryExpert.com - free salary data with cost of living and benefits info.
  20. ExtremeTech.com - technology news and info resource.
  21. MCPmag.com - the online version of Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine.

  23. OpenOffice.org - a "global - community" effort to try and create (develop) a "Office suite" of software products that will run on all major computer [Operating System] OS platforms. OpenOffice is available for download in many languages now for you to try for free.
  24. TheAppleMuseum - updated weekly, this resource combine the history of Apple Computers with the specifications of each product, their database contains descriptions and specifications of over 350 Apple products. Also visit my recently posted and updated "Apple Computer Resource Center".
  25. FireWallGuide - provides access to independent, third-party reviews of Internet security products. Also visit my "Techlinks page" and go to the ZoneAlarm link for more useful information.
  26. CharityWatch.org - by The American Institute of Philanthropy; purpose is to help donors make informed giving decisions.
  27. Blogger - a "free" self-publishing Web program (a.k.a. software or tool) that lets you create and maintain a Web site called a Weblog [Blog for short]. To quote Blogspot.com --> "Blogger is the easy (non-tedious!) way to update your home page. Keeping a journal, what's new page, weblog, project page, or any other type of frequently updated web page with Blogger is as easy as typing in a form." [Here is the link to "Blogger Pro"]. Make sure you check-out "Blog Spot", Blogdex - project at MIT to index Weblogs. Another software/service to consider for Weblogging is "Radio Userland" [by Userland]. Some interesting Weblogs - "Internet Scout Weblog", "Google Weblog", a "history and perspective on Weblogs".
  28. BroadPage - a Web browser that lets you surf multiple pages simultaneously. Free version works well; kind of reminds me of Katiesoft and Tabsurf which are no longer around.
  29. SQLcourse - unique introductory SQL tutorial not only provides easy-to-understand SQL instructions, but it allows you to practice what you learn using the on-line SQL interpreter; also visit "SQLcourse2".
  30. Mozillaquest - online magazine that covers anything related to Netscape (includes some tutorials). Also visit "Netscape Browser Archive", "mozdev.org" or "techaholic.net".
  31. amillionlives - Links to1,000's of biographies, autobiographies, memoirs, diaries, and more. Also visit "Biography.com", "FactMonster", and "The History Place".
  32. W3Schools - rich Web resource that offers free Web building tutorials [covers basic HTML and XHTML tutorials, to advanced XML, XSL and WAP tutorials]. Also visit "PageTutor" [HTML, Javascript and web authoring tutorials] and "NewbieClub".
  33. ArticleCentral - a useful, well organized, searchable directory on Web development related sites; also lists the newest resources.
  34. Researchville - search 700+ online databases through just 1 entry (query).
  35. SciTechDaily (Review) - keep up with science and technology news with this Web resource.
  36. DynamicDrive (DHTML) - find free, original DHTML scripts and components to enhance your Web site; see also "BestAnimations" for free 3D animated GIFs.
  37. Aspin.com - ASP (Active Server Pages) Resource Index; well organized, searchable resource for programmers and developers seeking this kind of help & info.
  38. Swishzone - Flash animation - text effects, intros for Web sites, rollover buttons and more.
